Malamo Zoubaniotis, born in Greece in 1925, grew up in Kastoria after her family fled Asia Minor in the early 1920s. She experienced the hardships of World War Two and the following years of instability before emigrating to Canada in 1951. Settling in Toronto, she worked in the fur industry for four decades. She married in 1953 at St. George Church, raised a family, and remained active in both work and community life. Her son, Thanasis Zoubaniotis, takes part in the interview, assisting with communication and sharing his own reflections on family relationships, identity, and the evolving Greek-Canadian experience.
