Bill Fatis recounts born in Vatohori, Florina, 1948, growing up in aftermath of the war decace in Greece. After completing high school, following his mother's plans, he decided to join his brother in Canada. During the years of Junta in Greece, he became actively involved in the Anti-Junta movement. He joined the Pan-Macedonian Association and reflects on the position of the Greek Orthodox Church during this period, He describes the community services for new Greek immigrants offered as well as the disputes between older and newer Greeks in Toronto.
