Vasilios Diamantakos was born in 1933 in Petrina, Laconia. After the Second World War, he worked in Athens before emigrating to Toronto in 1957, where he initially worked as a dishwasher. Diamantakos became involved with the Petrina Brotherhood and connected with Charles Brown, a mushroom farm owner, who sponsored him. He describes Brown’s visit to Petrina, his donations, and his involvement in the Greek community in Toronto. Finally, Diamantakos recalls meeting his wife and their marriage.
