Michalis Mouratidis was born in Panagitsa in 1943 and later moved to Veroia. He trained as a dental technician before migrating to Canada, where he became deeply involved in Greek community life through athletics, cultural initiatives, and local associations. Mouratidis played a leading role in the Brotherhood Pontion Toronto “Panagia Soumela,” the Pan-Macedonian Association, and the Cultural Department of the Greek Community of Toronto. A passionate advocate for preserving Greek heritage, he also authored books, collected historical materials, and participated in international Pontic and diaspora conferences.
