Fotini Epitropou was born in Piraeus in 1943. She initially migrated to Australia in 1961, where she worked before meeting her husband and getting married. The couple later returned to Greece and decided to migrate to Canada, initially living in Toronto and later moving to Brampton. Epitropou and her husband opened a restaurant, though they eventually sold it. Later in life, she underwent heart surgery and retired. She recalls her efforts to provide Greek education to her children and visiting Greece.
