Chrysoula Kyriazakou was born in 1925 in Vouno Arkadias. She recalls her father’s earlier migration to the United States and her older brothers and sisters’ migration to North America. She recalls the first day of the war, the German occupation, and the Civil War. After the war ended in 1948, she decided to immigrate as well, initially to Winnipeg. Later, she met her husband in Thunder Bay, where she worked and built a family. When their children grew up and moved to Toronto, she decided to follow them.
